International events Winter 2018/2019

With the Youth Olympic Games 2020 selection as an aim, international racing became an important step to take in the preceding season to the Games. 

To have a chance to be selected and gain a place in TeamGB, Great Britain had to have a ranking in the IBU Junior Cup.

 Although this meant racing in the U21 category (at the age of 16)  it was a positive decision to gain experience and take advantage of some incredible opportunities to race at world class venues.

In every one of my races I learnt loads and improved in all aspects of racing;  controlling my stress in race situations, skiing techniques and shooting abilities. This lead to continuously improving my results through the season.

In my opionion my greatest achievement this season was at my last Sprint race in Norway where I shot clean and qualified for the Pursuit race - something that I had never imagined happening in my first international season !!
